Sciber Foundation Empowering Open Science, Inspiring Research.

Sciber Foundation is an independent, non-profit initiative dedicated to advancing open science, open access, and open knowledge. Our name, Scibre, is inspired by the fusion of Science and Liber, reflecting our belief that scientific knowledge should be freely accessible, openly shared, and collaboratively developed for the benefit of society.

We work to strengthen the scholarly communication ecosystem by promoting ethical publishing practices, supporting open-access journals, and encouraging the adoption of open-source technologies across academic and research institutions. We believe that removing barriers to knowledge accelerates innovation, improves research visibility, and fosters global collaboration.

Our expertise extends beyond advocacy. We provide professional consultancy and technical services to universities, colleges, research organizations, libraries, and scholarly publishers. Our services include the implementation and customization of open-source platforms such as Open Journal Systems (OJS), Koha Integrated Library System (ILS), DSpace Institutional Repository, VuFind Discovery Service, Moodle Learning Management System, and other digital knowledge management solutions. We also assist institutions with data migration, metadata management, digitization projects, repository development, journal hosting, workflow optimization, staff training, and long-term technical support.

Recognizing the importance of nurturing future researchers, Scibre Foundation also promotes research culture among school and university students through scholarly publishing initiatives, research education, and capacity-building programs. By introducing students to the principles of research methodology, scientific writing, peer review, and academic publishing at an early stage, we aim to cultivate the next generation of ethical researchers and innovators.

At Sciber Foundation, our mission is simple: to make knowledge more open, research more accessible, and scholarly publishing more sustainable through technology, collaboration, and education.
